“Why I Started Guruvion”?
When I realised founders were optimising for the meeting, not for the audit.
Sitting inside credit and risk meetings, I kept seeing the same movie.
Founders would walk in with strong decks and confident pitches. But the moment someone asked:

“If you’re raising for 12 months, what happens in month 13?”

“What is your actual CAC based on bank and GST data?”

“How does your cap table look if we assume the next round?”
…things would fall apart.
In one discussion, an angel investor asked a founder, “If I fund you for one year, will you come back for more next year? What changes in the business between now and then?” There was no clear answer. No real runway plan. No DD readiness.
I realised most founders were optimising for the meeting, not for the audit. They knew their product and GTM, but were flying blind on governance, risk and regulatory hygiene.
Guruvion exists to close that gap – to bring a lender’s and underwriter’s lens into the founder’s world, without turning the company into a bureaucracy.
Robin’s Background – Timeline
I’m Robin Marwaha, based in Gurgaon. My formal education at the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), Manipal, combined hospitality management with rigorous training in accounting, finance, business law and strategy—training you’d expect for someone preparing to run a full hotel P&L. Professionally, I’ve spent over a decade and a half in credit, risk, operations and regulatory scrutiny in large, regulated organisations.
Across these roles, I’ve:
• Sat in credit committees where deals were discussed and rejected
• Handled statutory, internal and concurrent audits
• Acted as a nodal officer for RBI/NHB inspections and regulatory queries
• Worked on the post-sanction side of large loans, where bad structure and documentation become real risk
That is the lens I now use to help founders get DD-ready and structurally clean before they raise capital.

Risk, credit and collections roles, working closely with customer cash flows and payment behaviour; exposure to large subscriber bases and operational controls.
Senior leadership in commercial credit operations for large-ticket real-estate and builder finance; ownership of documentation, disbursement controls, audits, customer grievances, and nodal responsibilities for RBI/NHB queries.
Founder and advisor on DD readiness and capital structuring; also building ventures in functional fitness events and PropTech.
